Ebun Olatoye of True Love Magazine interviewed me on spirituality in the May Edition.. The column is called Soul Food. Double click on picture to read interview.
why are you so cute though?!?! great interview still... luved it... i especially liked the part "A writer is a person who has taught his mind to misbehave"... soo so true... oh and when you said you'd love to stop pain in the world... beautiful!
Aww looking good Laspapi. Love the shirt, and that's a mischievous smile:D I agree with you on not having a spiritual role model, i've learnt not to put anyone on a pedestal, we're all human at the end of the day. My grandma's relationship with God encourages me though...
Are you going to put all your plays in a book and sell? I wanna read. Have a blessed week. I'll be prancing around town, i'm freeeee:D
@ Storm- thank you, Storm. My mind misbehaves all the time. As for pain...it saddens me
@ omosewa- glad you like the shirt, 'sewa. If you were around, I'd order you one. Putting all my plays in a book? Thought of it once but was advised against it till I become as big as Soyinka. Enjoy the break, beautiful child.
Lovely article, your responses speak volume about your character and substance. Keep walking the walk, and pressing on towards the goal for which you have been called...
So, Laspapi, eliminate pain, or the sources of pain? Because it'd be a tragedy if we were all walking around maimed and injured and damaged (physically and spiritually) and there was no pain to alert us to the fact that something was off kilter. No?
BTW, I do pass by once in a while. I've just neglected to leave a note when I do. I will try to do better.
Way to go laspapi. Thanks for sharing! I am very impressed with True Love West Africa but sadly we can't get it over here and have to rely on the good will of folks who are kind enough to send copies as gifts. The last one I read was the February issue. It might be a good idea for them to have an online version with the bare essentials (like True Love West Africa)and then of course transition into getting an international vendor. Whaddya think, good idea? Or is this happening already?
@ jola- Not sure if this is happenening already, but Ebun Olatoye stops on this blog from time to time. If she does, I expect she'll be able to give an accurate picture or better still, I'll give her a call.
Interesting read..
ReplyDeleteThanks, akin
