This crumbling building is visible as you drive down the Marina. Some incredible law of gravity holds the rubble up. It's been like this for years and successive governments look on. People go to work daily, just metres away from it.

One day, it will come down...

this building!!! everytime I see it, i wonder.
Fash has conveniently overlooked it. People around have gotten used to it, they don't know what danger they're in.

Wow. Nigeria's answer to the leaning tower of Pisa. I don't get it. Why not just implode the building. This is so verry dangerous.

When I commented on this while I was visiting Lagos a few months ago, the people I was riding in the car with made it seem as if there was something wrong with ME. It seems that they had been so used to it was just another part of the landscape to them and not a potential hazard to those around it. I was not told how long it has been there for but from what you write it seems like it is not something that just happened. I guess it just takes for something really terrible to happen 'fore something is done about it ... which just makes it worse

...unfortunately, 'we' see nothing wrong if it does not directly affect us.
