Henry J. Toe, a Liberian at the Oru-Ijebu Refugee Camp in Ogun State,Nigeria, stays in a room on the camp with his wife, his daughter and son-in-law as well as his grand children. The occupants of the room are eight in number. I was invited into the shack to see what it looked like. The floor was earthen, the walls were bare planks and there was no insulation against the elements. He lost a grandchild to pneumonia as a result of this. In his hands, he holds his staple diet, snails gathered by a small stream that passes through the camp. His primary concern is feeding, as the authorities are spasmodic at best in this regard. "Think twice...", Phil Collins sang, "...It's just another day for you and me in paradise"

Not helping the refugees like T Joe, is a beautiful let down to every human! Their plight which obviously was a result of human's greed, hatred and strife for power can also be remedied by none other than you, me, us...humans! Join Wole et al in this fight! Eachone, help one, eachone tell one... Sulai Aledeh
Na wa o. So there'r refugees in naija still and we know nothing about it. I wish there's something i could do. Dis is so pathetic dat such a thing is happening and d govt. ain't doing nothing about it.
I'm nigerian but also grew up in another west african country, I spent many of my precious childhood yrs among Liberian refugees. My church was 80% liberian, my youth group was run by one, and 90% Liberian, so I feel very much affiliated with them. It breaks my heart to see a 17yr old refugee camp in Naija, what are long term options? Any chance of reintegrating them into society, to try to earn a living?
...and some still clamour for war rather than the round table.
