This photograph, if accurate proves the same people have been in power forever in Nigeria, giving little room to others. The picture shows Generals Babangida, Abacha, Obasanjo and Danjuma, as junior army officers in a relaxed state. For the purposes of accuracy, we must remember the present President, Umaru Yar'Adua, was brother to the now deceased General Musa Yar'Adua, Obasanjo's friend and deputy.

Yes oh,
And since coming to blogville, I read somewhere (don't know how true it is) that Danjuma and some others were responsible for initiating the near extermination of the Igbos during the civil war.
And he sits there, untried for what i will call war crimes against humanity

LOL ... so they've been playing us as checkers all along? Hmmm ... they obviously don't know that the board and the pieces will long out-survive the players.

@ catwalq- There are allegations that Danjuma as a lieutenant, led the team that arrested the then-Head Of State, Aguiyi Ironsi and the Miltary Administrator of the Western Region, Adekunle Fajuyi, in 1966. Both men were never seen alive again. He denies the allegation till date.

@ Tayo- I like your analogy, tayo.
