laspapi- O Progeny Miraculous Particular Spectaculous....

I don't know what it is with me and the past these past few days (excuse the bad pun).

This is for the Waffarian whose post on her blog took me to better, better times- when cares were few and the air was cleaner, when smiles had no sinister motives and one did not fear one's neighbour.

Laspapi ah! …how cute!

….The age of innocent is gone and could only be rekindled if and when the “super” collides with the “natural” breaking down is always easier than creating.

The eyes and smile are still the same...now i'm gonna look for a blast from the past pic to post. Although, it wont be in black and white...:D:D

LOL.... sweet! I remember B & W pixs like these, mostly of my parents and my older ones... it was more 'fashionable'when I was born to take colour pixs cos that was the latest trend, so I was not opportuned to have B&W pixs to record my distant childhood.... lucky you!
One thing though... then there was this sense of security we had that is lacking now.... we stayed with family friends after school cos our parents were still at work, and we were so so trusting... now, I can't even eat anywhere...and going out at night? Almost impossible.. times have indeed changed

Laspipi, the innocence of such days should never be forgotten, sometimes, we want to forget, but it is still there, if we scratch the surface.....it is still there. Happy you've found those days again! Yeah, the picture is cute!

@ anon- good one. laspapi's honoured to be used as a reference.

@ nyemoni- I don't know what happened to trust. I watched the fences on the street I grew up on as they were raised higher and higher until we all lived in fortresses.

@ waffy- The innocence is there but these days it can be a disadvantage to lack guile.

@ 36 inches- looking forward to seeing your 'blastus pastus' picture

@ endi- ah, endi, if only you knew. I had a great childhood, somewhere along the line, adulthood, nature and society conspired against me.

naija love,
my age? yeah, that's free info. There was an era of purple polaroids too. Managed to catch the tail-end of that.
That ikoyi club thing- I used to be scared of rejection, not like you professional under-age gate-crashers (lol).
