Taking a drive down the troubled 3rd Mainland Bridge last week, I saw this sight. The sails of the boat were made from old sacks but I would have given a great deal to be able to sail away for a while. Far from the hustle and flow.

@ god's child- It's one of our greatest strengths. We don't wait for fibre-glass, satellite-controlled fishing boats to start our businesses.

@ sherri- I need one, love. I need one!!!

Hi.....,
I see a lot of things while crossing the third mainland bridge that make me want to capture those images and keep them with me at all times.
Early in the morning at about six a.m. if you're going to the island and you look toward your left. The water is a whitish hue and so is the sky. It is almost impossible to tell where the sky ends and the water begins. At times like those the canoes seem to be floating.... it is tres beautiful.
In the evenings if you look towards Ebutte-meta... the mist over the stilt shacks is so beautiful that you forget the ugliness of the poverty that built those shacks in the first place.
Not long ago.. on my way home from the island.... I saw a full moon hanging from the sky and a perfect reflection in the water.... True beauty... no comparison.
