During a break in rehearsals for Anatomy of a Woman, Bolaji Alonge decided to serenade Stella Damasus with that famous song that has the lines, "Maybe I didn't love you quite as well as I should have".

Bolaji (who can't play the guitar) has a nasal rendition of that particular song which he patented more than 9 years ago. Needless to say, Stella, a musician herself, looked on in shock as Bolaji restructured the song.

:-D I can tell from the photo - even the way she's looking at him ... it's a "what the ...??" moment.

He "restructured" the song - LOlllll- i'll definitely be using that one. He's looking rather fine though - very good looking man.

funny ha ha...she is looking at him like - 'are you for real'...great photo, thanks for sharing!

@ s.gorgeous- thank you, nice to see you again.

@ the beautiful child- still can't find the words for the look.

@ cali gal- Bolaji's a spontaneous prankster, and Stella couldn't believe her eyes

@ noni- Bolaji won't be letting me hear the end of those words in praise of him. It was a "what the..." moment for Stella.

@ jola- You're always welcome here, J. Thank you for stopping by.

love the pic. Have to admit, from the tone of your posts so far during your rehersals you actually sound pretty sane for a director. Most directors I've met during rehersals... anyway nice pic

@ waffy- The V Monologues? The spirit was willing...but rehearsals for "Anatomy" didnt allow me. I've been reprimanded by many people for my absence.

@ bimbylads- good to have you around. After Sunday, I'll come visiting you too. Running like hell for the show now.

@ snazzy- I tell people my dreadlocks are in my heart, not on my head. You seem to know a bit about this drama stuff. Talk to you later, snazzy.

Is BJ singing that bad? I remember him in the days of Theatre 15...
I am almost definite i know you as well...
will come for your next play.
Ur blog is nice.

Aramide said...

hehe as in she looks like "what tha?"

laspapi said...

thanks, "stuck...". It'll be good to see you. As for BJ's singing, he's perfected an annoying twang he unleashes on the unwary.

mona, that look speaks volumes.
